Events and rhymes
Sources checked Eisenfang’s Steam guide, updated 19 Oct 2026, plus patch lines that rename the shell game as Bonneteau and that ease the boulder.
When the token stops, a rhyme appears over the board. It is the name of the event: a monster that stays, a minigame, or the ending carry.
The guide transcribes fifteen monster rhymes, including an Ice Miner that has no separate behavior entry, and ten set pieces from the ballerina to the soul idol.
Floor is Lava wants ten boxes in a 1-2-3-4 stack. The trapdoor room is a 5×5 grid for three rounds. The shell game’s safe door is the card with the idol.
V0.44.9 made the boulder slightly easier. V0.44.7 patched an exploit in the Bonneteau event, which is the shell game.
The rhymes are the in-game announcement, copied here from Eisenfang’s transcription so you can match a line you just heard. Behavior under each line is that guide’s description, not a second source.
Monster spawns
These stay for the rest of the game. How to survive the creature is on Monsters. Knights are described there and do not have a rhyme in this list.

Set pieces

| Ballerina | Everyone is sent to a room with an idol. A ballerina spins in the room you must cross. Move while she is stopped and spikes come up. |
| Chessboard | An idol on the far side of a giant board. Pieces move and try to crush anyone on a square. |
| Dice Spawn | The board throws several dice. They count as already rolled, good or bad. |
| Fire Pillar | A pillar in the middle of the room sprays long jets and reverses direction. It sinks when the event ends. Stay out of the jets. |
| Flash Freeze | The game-room floor stays icy for the rest of the game. |
| Mannequin Attic | A door opens to a cramped attic full of dress mannequins. Idols are at the back. Someone has to keep watch. |
| Rolling Boulder | The center door opens on one idol. Picking it up starts a boulder that chases that player to the game room. If they die, the boulder does not return for the next person who grabs the idol. V0.44.9 made this “slightly easier,” without saying how. |
| Shell Game | Three doors, three cards shuffling above them. Enter the door under the idol card. The other two are mimics. The 8 Oct patch calls this the Bonneteau event and says an exploit was closed. |
| The Floor is Lava | Rising lava, large boxes, a balcony. The guide says you need 10 boxes stacked 1-2-3-4. Afterward, lava still surges over the floor for a few seconds at a time. You get a fire cue. Stand on a box or a table. |
| Trapdoor Game | A 5×5 floor. A wheel picks the safe symbol. Every other tile opens. Three rounds, and more symbols join each round. |
| Game Completion | Always at the center. The rhyme is “At last you found my long lost hearse / retrieve my soul and end the curse.” Dead players revive. Someone walks the soul idol back and seals it. |
The Inverted Controls idol no longer spawns during the boulder, as of V0.44.7. That is the only event-specific idol ban this site has from a patch note.
